Members of the British Beekeepers Association

Membership of the association is open to anyone subscribing to the aims and constitution of the association, through membership of one its local Branches. 


Objects  of the  Cumbria Association 


The Association comprises five local branches. 

Carlisle
Cockermouth
Keswick
Penrith
Whitehaven


Cumbria Association will refund the exam fee of successful candidates who pass the BBKA Basic Certificate or Theory module 3 ( Honeybee Pests, Diseases and Poisoning). 
Beekeepers must be members of CBKA and before taking the exam. informed Cumbria  examination secretary Mr. R. Moriarty

                 Cumbria BKA have appointed a BBKA exam secretary. 
He is your contact for the county to arrange the basic examination or modules.

The branches organise meeting and events throughout the year.  The branch membership provides a contact to share social beekeeping events and provide training.

Beekeepers who join a local Branch of the Association, automatically become members of the Association, and are then entitled to take part in all its activities and those of any  other branches. 

Members benefit from services provided both by the association that are made available to them through its membership of the British Beekeepers Association. Third party insurance is provided as part of the subscription.
