Carlisle Beekeepers Association supports members and prospective members who wish to train in all aspects of beekeeping. The association runs a beginners course each year, with both practical and theory sessions.

2015 ~ Training the Trainers

It is intended to invite members who have successfully completed the Beginners Course to train as future trainers enabling successful candidates to run Beginners and Intermediate courses.

2015 ~ Beginners Course

It is planned to start a new beginners course in April, (excluding Easter weekend). It will be Saturday mornings 10 -12.30 at Gosling Syke and will comprise 5 theory sessions and, depending upon weather, at least one practical. The cost will be £50.

The course will be run by Christine Matthews and all are welcome. There will be a further circulation in March to confirm details and formally book places etc.

Basic Beekeeping Assessment

Carlisle Beepkeeping Association will also arrange for members to be assessed for the BBKA Basic Beekeeping Certificate at the association apiary at Walby.
